9 am Worship Service

We have an early service every Sunday from 9 - 9:55 am in the Worship Center

NOTE: Summer hours are in effect: Communion is every Sunday from 9:30-9:50. Worship continues at 10:00 until 11:00.

This service follows the traditional pattern practiced by people all over the world to begin their week with Scripture readings, a short meditation on one of the passages read, a time of prayer and intercession for both personal concerns and for the world at large, and a service of Holy Communion.

Music is provided by our excellent choral, directed by Damon Downing.  We concentrate on the more familiar traditional hymns, and the music supports an intentional quietness and focus on the presence of the Spirit of God.

Each service ends with the celebration of the sacrament of Holy Communion, also known as the Eucharist. In the United Methodist Church, many have expressed a longing to be able to participate in this special time on a more regular basis. It is a powerful and beautiful way to begin the week as we remember the historic basis for our faith and find the grace to live out that faith in the present, seeking to love God and our neighbor as fully as possible.

The United Methodist Church practices open communion, and all are welcome to come and participate. Children of all ages are also welcome, and we have child-care for those who would like to make use of that service.

Come join us--your soul will rejoice and be glad!
